The Innovation and Transformation Consortium
unites three distinct, yet complimentary cohorts - Transformational Leadership (TLC), Innovative Districts Empowering All Learners (IDEAL) and STEM Leadership - into one cohesive learning community.  This cohort is designed to inspire and support educational leaders in driving dynamic change and unites expertise in transformational leadership, innovative and personalized learning experiences for students, and STEM education to create powerful opportunities for growth and advancement in schools nationwide.

Join us and bring your team to the in-person 2024-2025 Innovation for Transformation fall meeting and site visit at Indian Hill Exempted Village Schools (IHEVS) in Cincinnati, Ohio. IHEVS is a highly acclaimed district, and CEO/Superintendent Kirk Koennecke attributes its success to years of dedicated focus on innovation and student-centered approaches.

Superintendent Koennecke, along with his district team, and AASA Innovation for Transformation co-leads—Matt Montgomery, Lead Superintendent of Lake Forest School Districts 67 & 115, Nick Polyak, Superintendent of Leyden School District 212, and Scott Rowe, Superintendent of High School District 214—will guide the learning and collaboration focused on these essential questions:




Schedule Summary

 

Sunday, October 6th

Attendees are requested to check in at the lobby of the headquarter hotel by 3:00 PM. At 3:10 PM, the AASA bus will depart for the Cincinnati Museum Center (1301 Western Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45203) where participants will be treated to a museum tour, followed by a reception and dinner hosted by AASA. The evening will also feature a briefing on the plans for Monday and Tuesday. We board the bus and travel back to the hotel around 7:30 PM.

 

Monday, October 7th

Attendees should assemble in the lobby of the headquarters hotel between 7:30 and 7:40 AM for check-in and to board the bus to Indian Hill Middle School (IHMS) where we will meet. We will have lunch in the district. In the afternoon, we'll travel from IHMS to Procter & Gamble Headquarters for a tour of the P&G Museum of Failure, followed by a visit to the University of Cincinnati’s 1891 Innovation Hub. We will end with a tour and a reception and dinner at the TQL Stadium. The bus will depart at 7:30 PM and return participants to the headquarter hotel.

 

Tuesday, October 8th

The AASA bus will depart the headquarters hotel at 7:30 AM and travel to Indian Hill Middle School (IHMS) where there will be an opportunity for more learning and the opportunity to tour of IHMS. The meeting will conclude at noon, after which the bus will return to the headquarters hotel for a brief stop, if necessary, before proceeding to Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG).

Headquarter Hotel for this event is the Hyatt Regency Cincinnati, 151 W 5th St, Cincinnati, OH 45202. Please contact the hotel registration to book your room.
