
In today's educational landscape, academic achievement is not the sole measure of student success. Mental health, social and emotional wellness, and interpersonal skills all play a pivotal role in shaping well-rounded, resilient individuals ready to excel academically and in life.
AASA’s Mental Health and Social and Emotional Learning Summit will bring district leaders across the country together to explore the latest data, research and trends around SEL and the mental health needs of students and school communities at-large are welcome to join us for this Summit. It will take place in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, October 22-24, 2024.

Tuesday, October 22
|
The meeting will be held at The University Club, located at A123 University Place, Pittsburgh, PA 15260. Check-in begins at 3:45 PM, with the meeting starting at 4:00 PM. We will have a reception beginning at 5:15 PM, followed by dinner. The keynote speaker during dinner will be Seth Cohen, Chief Impact Officer and Founder of Forbes Impact Lab and Forbes Communities. The headquarters hotel is the Courtyard University Center, situated at 100 Lytton Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15213, just a short walk from the University Club.

Wednesday, October 23
|
The meeting will begin at 8:00 AM at the University Club (address listed above). Our keynote speakers include Gregg Behr, Executive Director of the Grable Foundation; Jimmer Fredette, 2024 Olympian, former NBA player, and Founding Member of Choose Kindness; and Terry Thoren, CEO and President of Wonder Media Education. Lunch will be provided, while dinner will be on your own to explore Pittsburgh.

The meeting will begin at 8:00 AM at the University Club (address above). The keynote speaker will be Academy Award-winning actress and MindUP Founder, Goldie Hawn, who will speak from 11:30 AM to noon. The meeting will adjourn at noon, so please arrange your travel plans to ensure you don’t miss her keynote.
