Catherine Huber

Catherine Huber is the new superintendent of the Otsego Northern Catskills BOCES district in Grand Gorge, N.Y. She previously spent four years as superintendent in Alexander, N.Y., and worked as assistant superintendent of human resources and director of secondary education in the Kenmore-Town of Tonawanda Union Free School District in Buffalo, N.Y. Huber is an adjunct lecturer for the educational administration program at SUNY Brockport. An AASA member since 2017, she received her doctoral degree in educational leadership from D’Youville College in Buffalo.
 



Kris Kuehn

After spending 16 years as superintendent in Malta, Mont., Kris Kuehn has accepted a position as superintendent in Carrington, N.D. He earlier had served as superintendent and principal in Highwood, Mont., and Opheim, Mont. Before his time as an administrator, he worked as a teacher for seven years in Opheim. Kuehn began his career in the U.S. Army as a captain and subsequently worked as a military academy liaison officer. He received his Ed.D. from the University of Montana in Missoula. Kuehn has been an AASA member since 1999.
 

 


Brian L. Maher

The South Dakota Board of Regents appointed Brian Maher last summer to be its new executive director and chief executive officer, overseeing six public universities and two special schools. Previously, he was the superintendent in Sioux Falls, S.D., for five years. Maher earlier filled superintendencies of the Kearney and Centennial school systems, both in Nebraska, over a 16-year period. In 2015, Maher was named Nebraska’s superintendent of the year. An AASA member since 1999, Maher holds a doctorate in educational administration from the University of Nebraska.
 

 
 

Cort Monroe

Cort Monroe has joined the Cave Creek Unified School District in Scotts­dale, Ariz., as superintendent. Monroe most recently served as assistant superintendent of student support services in Queen Creek, Ariz., for three years. He earlier held elementary school principalships in several Arizona districts. Monroe is an adjunct professor at Northern Arizona University and began his career as an elementary school teacher in the Nebo, Utah, district. A first-year AASA member, Monroe received his Ed.D. in educational leadership from Northern Arizona University.
 



Eric Williams

Eric Williams is the new superintendent of the Clear Creek Independent School District in League City, Texas. Prior, he served six years as superintendent for the 84,000-student Loudoun County Public School District in Ashburn, Va., and as superintendent of the York County School Division in Yorktown, Va. Williams worked as assistant superintendent of Collier County Public Schools in Naples, Fla. He launched his career as a social studies teacher. An AASA member since 2008, he received his Ed.D. in administration, training and policy studies from Boston University.



Mary-Margaret Zehr

Mary-Margaret Zehr is the new superintendent of the 4,100-student Carmel Central School District in Patterson, N.Y. She spent four years as superintendent in Oneida, N.Y., and six years as assistant superintendent in Watertown, N.Y. She also served as superintendent in Copenhagen, N.Y., and held several principalships of secondary schools in various New York districts, including Dexter, Adams and Beaver Falls, over nine years. She began her career as a junior high social studies teacher. Zehr has been a member of AASA since 2008.
