Lynn Fuini-Hetten

After spending two years as associate superintendent of the Salisbury Township School District in Allentown, Pa., Lynn Fuini-Hetten has been named the district’s superintendent. Previously, she served as the district’s assistant superintendent for three years and supervisor of instructional practice for three years. She began her teaching career as a 6th-grade teacher in the same district in 1995. Fuini-Hetten also is a clinical adjunct professor of education at Moravian College in Bethlehem, Pa. She has been an AASA member since 2015.


Terrell Hill

Terrell Hill is the new superintendent in Windsor, Conn., where he was previously the assistant superintendent for human resources. Hill was the founding principal of High School Inc., a business-themed school that opened in 2009. He has also served as a vice principal in Windsor, Conn., and teacher in Windsor Locks, Conn., and Newport News, Va., and is a veteran of the Army. An AASA member since 2014, Hill received his Ph.D. from the University of Massachusetts.

Ruth Perez

After five years as superintendent of California’s Paramount Unified School District, Ruth Perez has been named deputy superintendent of the Riverside County Office of Education. In previous postings, she was deputy superintendent of instruction in the Los Angeles Unified School District, superintendent of the Norwalk-La Mirada Schools in California, chief academic officer of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools in Charlotte, N.C., and area superintendent of the Orange County Public Schools in Florida. She is a board member of the Association of Latino Administrators and Superintendents. A nine-year member of AASA, Perez earned her Ed.D. from Nova Southeastern University. Angelica Ramsey

Angelica Ramsey is the new superintendent in Midland, Texas, after spending four years as superintendent of Pleasant Valley School District in Camarillo, Calif. Ramsey previously was associate superintendent and chief academic officer at the Santa Clara County Office of Education in San Jose, Calif. She held several positions, including principal, in the Socorro Independent School District in El Paso, Texas, from 2002 to 2012. Ramsey has been an AASA member since 2012. She received her Ed.D. from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Va.

Michael Salvatore

Michael Salvatore has accepted the post of senior vice president of administration at Kean University in Union, N.J. He spent 10 years as superintendent in Long Branch, N.J., and was that district’s assistant superintendent for one year. He also served as district administrator, principal and preschool teacher in Long Branch over an 11-year period. Salvatore holds a doctorate in curriculum and instructional leadership from Northcentral University in San Diego, Calif., and has been an AASA member since 2011.


Jeffrey Snell

The new superintendent of Washington’s Vancouver Public Schools is Jeff Snell, who served the previous five years as superintendent in Camas, Wash., after five years as the district’s deputy superintendent. Snell spent much of his early career in the Vancouver system. Over 15 years, he was a secondary classroom teacher, associate principal and principal at a middle school and high school through 2011. Snell has been an adjunct faculty member in the education leadership programs at Concordia University and Washington State University Vancouver. An AASA member since 2016, Snell holds a doctorate in education from Washington State University.
