Salary Caps
School Administrator, September 2019
AASA surveys of superintendents conducted in 2017-18 and 2018-19 found an increasing percentage reported their states did not impose salary caps affecting the calculation of state retirement benefits. The percentage moved from about 50 percent to nearly 66 percent.
More than one in five indicated they were not sure about the existence of a salary cap, a slight decrease from the prior year.
