Margaret Aune

Peggy Aune is the newly named associate superintendent of curriculum and instruction for Collier County Public Schools in Naples, Fla. She has spent her entire career in the 47,000-student district, starting as a special education teacher before moving into administrative posts, including coordinator of staffing, recruitment and retention and executive director of secondary programs in the office of curriculum and instruction. Aune received an Ed.D. from the University of Florida. Named one of AASA’s Aspiring Women Leaders, she has been an association member since 2016.
 

 

Susan M. Homes

The Smithton, Ill., Community Consolidated School District said farewell to its superintendent of four years as Susan Homes became the Illinois Principals Association’s deputy director for professional development. Homes spent the previous 17 years in Collins-ville, Ill., Community Unit School District 10 as assistant superintendent and director of information systems. She began her career in K-12 schooling as a business teacher in West Allis, Wis., before working in higher education. Homes earned her Ed.D. from Saint Louis University in Missouri and joined AASA in 2013.




Eddie Ingram
After four years as the superintendent in Darlington, S.C., Eddie Ingram is now in charge of the Berkeley County School District in Moncks Corner, S.C. Previously, he served as superintendent and executive director for curriculum and instruction for Franklin County Schools in Louisburg, N.C. Ingram also worked as a principal at several schools in North Carolina after beginning his career as an English and Latin teacher in Elizabeth City and Nashville, N.C. He holds an Ed.D. from East Carolina University. Ingram has been a member of AASA since 2013.

 


Eileen King
After serving for 23 years as superintendent of Alternative Organizational Structure 98, the Rocky Channels Schools System in Boothbay Harbor, Maine, Eileen King has been named deputy executive director of the Maine School Management Association and executive director of the Maine School Superintendents Association. A former president of MSSA, King previously served as principal at Skowhegan Middle School and at Boothbay Region Elementary School, both in Maine. She started her career in public education as a Spanish teacher. King joined AASA in 2004.
 

 

Kimberly M. MacKinney
Formerly the chief academic officer at Oro Grande, Calif., School District, Kimberly Mac-Kinney is the district’s newly named assistant superintendent of educational services. MacKinney earlier spent seven years in the Fontana, Calif., Unified School District, first as director of assessment and evaluation and later as director of secondary instruction. She earned her doctorate in educational leadership from the University of Southern California. An association member since 2014, MacKinney was part of AASA’s Aspiring Women Leaders program.




Kevin Mendivil
Kevin Mendivil will assume the superintendency of Arizona’s Tempe Union High School District following a stint as Tempe’s associate superintendent. Previously, he served as the district’s assistant superintendent for human resources. Mendivil earlier directed human resources in Mesa, Ariz., Public Schools. He began his career as a special education teacher and an elementary school principal. Mendivil, who has been a member of AASA since 2014, earned his Ed.D. in educational administration and supervision from Arizona State University.
