Salary Ratios
School Administrator, January 2018
An increasingly popular metric calculated in both the private and public sectors is the ratio of the median entry-level worker compensation with that of the CEO/superintendent.
Accordingly, the median entry-level salary of teachers was compared with the median salary of superintendents in an AASA national survey, arrayed by school district size. The data confirm that, as district enrollment increases, so does the ratio.
